If you look better in gold jewellery or if you can spot Green veins, then you are a warm undertone. Incase you look better in white/pearl jewellery or if you can spot blue/purple veins, then you are a cool undertone. If you can do both, then you are a neutral undertone.
Keep this in mind while choosing the shade.
Another big mistake is swatching it on hands is a big no. Instead, always swatch it in the jawline. Also, as I mentioned, some parts of your face can be darker.
Stick to the same brand and consider buying 2 or more shades cause this will give you a perfect base. Spending on the base is the best thing you can do to make the makeup look nice. So always choose a good product.
