How to Style for Work, in collaboration with SindhuJP

Dressing up for work, is quite an integral part to anyone. It gives you a personality  at work. You can still go to work in your Pyjamas but why is it that the company insists on Dress code, well,  it is because they want the clients to think that you are professional and take their work serious. Not as fun and careless as you could dress being at home (ya, we tend to stay much relaxed at home).

Well, that doesn’t mean you have to be in your suits and tuxedos all the time.A great hairstyle, a pressed dress and a cleaned and trimmed nails (both men and women) inspires people around you. They come to you for advice and more than that, they listen to you which is quite important at work.

In spite of all the restriction, and boring rules, an office environment could have, we could still dress up and show much of personality. In fact much better and cool than the usual us, with that in mind COFFEETABLE is collaborating with a long time friend and a fellow blogger SindhuJP for this Office OOTD.

We both have done the same post on how to style for work and one can expect a lot of variety on the makeup and outfit. Do visit her blog too here for the detailed post.

Below is the detailed version of the office makeup, I had choosen.

Office makeup is always minimal, but that doesn’t mean you cannot work on a little of colour and feminine touch to them.A little blush and cat winged liner makes it cool.

Office makeup must be quick, easy and should not require frequent touch ups.
So avoid using foundations, a good BB Cream can do wonders. If required you could use compact powder. Keep in mind most of us work in an Air-conditioned atmosphere, so you will be looking good with just a little product.

The most important thing I follow for an Office makeup is keeping the eyes bright.Use a good quality concealer to cover up the dark circles and brighten the eyes up with a bit of eyeshadow(nothing shimmery but a plain matt in nude shades will do).

Avoid using Kajal on your tear lines or lower eye lashes when you are at work. As most of us work in computers, there is a high possibility of us rubbing and pressing our eyes much often and your eye might require frequent touch ups, thus spoiling your productivity more than that your dark circles will look too prominent.

Here is the list of products I used for this look.

Face: Garnier BB Cream and Maybelline Compact powder.

Concealer: MAC Studio Finish.

Eyes: Sugar Eyeliner.

Mascara: Pallindo Eye Mascara (From Fab Bag).

Lips: Lakme 9-5 Red Chaos for the base and touched a little with POW 2 Pink from Maybelline for that feminine look.

Blush: Maybelline Cheeky Glow Shade: PINK (Peach Shade will also look good on duskier skin)

BUN: I find a BUN  is more convenient and easier, particularly if you happen to travel a lot, it comes quite handy. This suits well for any style of dress. Yet I have styled the same dress with a pony and  also with free flowing hair for bringing in variety.
